“Get It Together” is a song recorded by The Jackson 5 and released in the late summer of 1973.
Written by Berry Gordy, Hal Davis, Don Fletcher, Jerry Marcellino and Mel Larson and produced by Davis, it was a song different from anything the Jacksons had done before and was shown as a predecessor to the sound that the brothers would go for as the decade came to a close .
The song peaked at #28 on the Billboard pop singles chart but it almost topped the R&B charts peaking at #2 there .
Beastie Boys also have a song called ‘Get It Together’. When it was released as a B-Side to ‘Sabotage’, it peaked at #19 in the UK charts .
